Roy McClain Hired As
New Exira Night Marshall

At a special session of the Ex-
ira town council, held Monday eve-
ning, Roy McClain was hired as
night marshall and commenced his
duties Tuesday night. He will re-
ceive $35 per month from the town
and the balance of his salary will
be made up through pay from
various business houses whose pro-
perty he guards against fire and
theft each night.

Mr. McClain has had previous
experience in caring for the duties
of the position for which he was
hired, having served as day mar-
shall several years ago and or
numerous occasions as a special
police officer. He is an experienced
pump man and mechanic.

Note: Parents of Roy C. McClain were Charles William McClain and Mary Mae Wilkins. Roy was married to Pearl Mary Chase.
