From this message thread we know that Easter/Esther/Hester Smith's maiden name was Frier/Freer. On the second page a person listed their email address. You can contact them for more.

If you get onto Ancestry.com, either via a paid subscription or available for free at most libraries in the U.S., there are multiple submitted genealogies. Do a search for Jesse Smith born 1791 and residence Appanoose. Then click on the text on the first entry in the upper right hand corner that says "More like this". That will get you to multiple submitted genealogies. Pick the ones with the most citations since they are likely to be the most reliable, although I can't vouch for any of them. They take the Smith family back to the 1700's in New York and the Freer's to the 17000's in France
