The George I'm trying to gather info on is George Washington Wood who was born in 1825 in Indiana (Marion Co. apparently) to John Wood and Rebecca (Heaton) Wood.

GWW went to Iowa sometime between 1835 and 1850 as he's listed in the 1850 Census for Appanoose, Co.

In 1850 there were two different Wood families with a John Wood as the Head-of-Household. If you'd like to email me to compare notes please feel free. speleo30@yahoo.com
