In the 1885 Iowa state census, Appanoose Co., Allen Railsback, age 24, and wife Catherine, age 22, son Noris, age 0, are listed in Section SW NE.

In the 1905 Iowa state census, Appanoose Co., P.O. Unionville, are:
Card 388, F. H. Shonkwiler
Card 389, Hannah Shonkwiler
Card 390, Daniel Shonkwiler
Card 391, Kate Railsback
Card 392, Amy Railsback

This must be Frank H. and Hannah Shonkwiler who appear in the Iowa state census for Appanoose County, January 1, 1895:
Frank H. Shonkwiler, 61, born Indiana
Hannah Shonkwiler, 57, born Ohio
Daniel Shonkwiler, 34, born Iowa
Lucy Shonkwiler, 22, born Iowa

The 1878 History of Appanoose County, Iowa, relates on page 462 that the "first school house was built near Mr. Clancy's house in the summer or fall of 1846. It was small in size and built of round logs." This was in Udell Twp., near Unionville. No reference to any name Omega.

This same history, on page 402, lists F. H. Shenkwiler as a member of the county Board of Supervisors for 1868.
