Gordon Wayne Wegener was born Sept. 12, 1926 to Fred C. and Hilda Heidenwith Wegener. He died Feb. 28, 2021 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Petty Officer Wegener served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Webster (ARV-2). Sgt. Wegener served with the the U.S. Air Force in Korea and Vietnam.

Donald Lawrence “Zeke” Winkel was born Nov. 16, 1923 to Laurence Aloysius and Ida Marie Peterson Winkel. He died Dec. 24, 2005 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Algona, IA. Zeke served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
