  PUBLIC SALE.
The undersigned, having sold his farm, will sell, at Public Sale, on the premises, six miles North of Fairfield,
 ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 1868,
  At 10 o’clock, A. M., the following property, to-wit:  2 head of young Horses, 1 span of two-year old Mules, about 20 head of one and two-year old Steers, 3 or 4 Cows, 6 Spring Calves, 25 or 30 good Stock Hogs, 5 or 6 Brood Sows, obout [sic] 10 tons of Hay, Wagon and Harness, Farming Implements, Household and Kitchen Furntture [sic], 1 Grover & Baker Sewing Machine, Railroad Spring Wheel, and various other articles.
TERMS--- A credit of 12 months will be given on all sums over $10, by purchaser giving note with approved security.

  IN BANKRUPTCY.
IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF THE UNITED STATES FOR THE DISTRICT OF IOWA.

In the matter of Edmund R. NORVELL,
 Bankrupt.

 Notice is hereby given that a petition has been filed in said Court by said Edmund R. NORVELL, of Fairfield, in the County of Jefferson, and State of Iowa, in said District, duly declared a Bankrupt under the Act of Congress of March 2d, 1867, for a discharge and a certificate thereof from all his debts and other claims provable under said Act, and that the 7th day of December A.D. 1868, at 10 o’clock A.M., is assigned for the hearing of the same at a Court of Bankruptcy before Hon. Dan’l ANDERSON, Register of said Court of Bankruptcy, at his office in Albia, Munroe [sic] Co., Iowa, in said District, where and when all Creditors of said Bankrupt, who have proved their debts, and all other persons in interest, may attend and show cause, if any they have, why the prayer of said petition should not be granted.

And further notice is hereby given that the second and third meetings of Creditors of said Bankrupt, required under the 27th and 28th sections of said Act, will be holden at said office of Dan. ANDERSON, Register in Bankruptcy of said Court, on the said 7th day of December, A.D. 1868, at 12 o’clock noon.

Dated at Dubuque this 30th day of October, A.D. 1868.
