Hopkirk Cemetery |

Location: Lockridge Township, Section 27. North on Vetch Ave. 3/4 mile, through the railroad underpass, to the first house on the East side. Enter through the orange steel gate north of the house. Walk along the left side of the field to a padlocked gate. Climb over the gate, continuing to walk northwest towards another gate and squeeze through it. Walking here difficult for fallen trees, vines, brush and poison ivy. (see township map.)
Burials: 1843 to present.
Condition: There are a total of 55 stones that are difficult to find for the clutter. This cemetery is one of the worst in the county.
Mowed: Not mowed or cared for.

First of three gates in getting to the cemetery. Due to the three bulls, Richard elected not to tempt fate and go out to the cemetery for gravestone photos. "Long legs are no match for the bulls...."
