Holmes Cemetery

Location: Locust Grove Township, Section 30.
North from Batavia to 203rd Street, then west 1/2 mile. Look north and
you can see a bunch of brush and trees in the center of the field: this is the
cemetery. Access only in early spring or after harvest. (see township map.)
Burials: 1854 to 1914.
Condition: There are six remaining stones,
one standing.
Mowed: Never in some years.
