Charles Trimble Dies at Hospital
Jasper County Farmer Succumbs to Long Illness
Yesterday Evening
Charles Trimble, 63, died at 7:15 last Sunday evening at
the Skiff Memorial hospital after an illness of several
weeks.
Funeral services will be held at the Sugar Grove church
Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, and interment will be
in the Sugar Grove cemetery.
Mr. Trimble, a native of Jasper county, was born near Metz
on Feb. 22, 1869, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Trimble.
Since then he has been connected with farming work, having
resided on a farm in Palo alto township south of Newton
until his last illness. ~ The Newton Daily News, March 10,

Charles E. Trimble
Charles E. Trimble, born Feb. 22, 1869, the son of
William E. and Sarah J. Trimble, on a farm six miles west of
Newton in the Sugar Grove neighborhood, died at 7:15 Sunday
evening, March 9, after a prolonged illness of several
years.
Mr. Trimble had been in failing health for the past
several years, suffering from heart disease and asthema.
Lately he had gone to the Skiff Memorial hospital in Newton
where he died on last Sunday evening.
Mr. Trimbel was married on March 3, 1899 to Emma R.
Wakefield. They moved to a farm near Metz where they resided
for seven years, later removing to the farm that Mr. Trimble
was living on when he died, in Palo alto township south of
Newton.
While Mr. Trimble was not a member of any organization,
he was actively connect with church work in the Metz and
Sugar Grove churches. He was superintendent of the Union
Sabbath school at Sugar Grove and taught a class in the Metz
Church for many years.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Edward Emerson, a
daughter, Ronda Faith, and one brother, Fred A.
Funearl sevices were held at the Metz church Wednesday
afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. W. H. Blancke of the
Lutheran church in charge. Burial will be in the Sugar Grove
