George Wakefield passed away at his home west of Newton, Sunday morning after a lingering illness.

The funeral services were held at the home Tuesday at 10o’clock. Rev. Mills had charge of the service.

The burial was at Swan, Iowa.

His wife and daughter, Mrs. Ella Trimble, survive him. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 19 Mar 1932.
