March, 2013 - There are 60 new grave records in the Iowa Gravestone Photo Project, from Valley View, Rose Hill, Little Sioux and Oak Grove cemeteries. You can search Harrison County cemeteries by cemetery name, surname or individual names.

February, 2013 - Look for updates from the Harrison County Genealogical Society, including contact and ordering information. The HCGS is your "go-to" place for a vast and well organized database of records and information on Harrison County history and genealogy.

While we do have the excellent Iowa Genweb QUERIES board, the link to individual researchers is handy and may provide access to information not available via the board. September, 2012 - The Notson Studio's Photo Project, submitted by Alvin Poole, President of the Harrison County Genealogical Society September 17, 2012, is a database of over 20,000 photographic negatives from the Lee Notson and Barbara Kay Studio, from the 1920s to 1960s. Funding provided by the Harrison County Community Foundation, HCGS, Applefest and individual donors.

September, 2012 - Your new Harrision County Coordinator is Michael A. Lewis.
