Gwendolyn Anderson

Who has been a star on Broadway, arrived here last Thursday from New York. Her four year old daughter Wendy is with her. They are at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. John Frerichs, at Holland. They will remain here until July 8th, when they will return to New York. It has been three years since they last visited with their relatives here.

Gwendolyn is a daughter of Leona Anderson, whose maiden name was Steinmeyer. She was born in Denver. Following the death of her father, she and her mother moved to Des Moines. For two years Gwendolyn made her home with her grandparents in Holland and she attended school there. She attended school in Des Moines and graduated there. She specialized in dramatics while in high school and frequently participated in home talent plays. After completing school in Des Moines she attended school in Pasadena, Calif., where she majored in dramatics and was awarded a B.A. degree. She did some work in radio in the west before she went to New York eight years ago where she entered upon her distinguished career on the stage. The past year she has been doing some work in television.
