Hildert Engelkes Dead

Word has just been received that Hildert Engelkes, son of Mrs. John Engelkes, near Fern, died of pneumonia in France February 12th.

The young man was a brother of Fred Engelkes, who died in the service in a Long Island, New York military hospital.

Mrs. John Engelkes received a letter from the nurse that cared for her son, Hildert while he was sick with pneumonia in France. It stated that he died the 10th of February and was buried on the 12th.

Soldier Boys' Bodies Coming

Several Military Funerals to Take Place Soon

It is stated on good authority that the body of William Dickerson has arrived several days ago at New York and is likely to arrive here soon. Upon its arrival a military funeral will be given by members of the Legion, and interment will be at Morrison.

The body of Hildert Engelkes, who died in France, Feb. 12, 1919 has also arrived in this country and will reach his former home near Fern within a few days. A brother, Fred Engelkes, died in New York April 2, 1918. both brothers died of pneumonia.
