Anderson was a town that "used to be" in Sidney Township. It is located about 10 miles northeast of Sidney. It is shown on the 1910 census. The school, in the town of Anderson, was built in 1916 and closed its doors in 1965 or 1966. (Historical note by Sandra Bengtson).
