Message Boards and How to Post

Click on the Board Link to go to the actual board. You may search & view information already posted, or you may add to the board, by using the "Post New Message" link. 

The various Boards are intended for the posting of specific  information as indicated in the title of each Board. 

Please be sure when posting information that you are not quoting directly from any copyrighted material (this is especially important for Obituaries and Biographies; when in doubt, summarize or paraphrase) and that you list sources for the information. Abstracts are acceptable where appropriate. 

Why Post Your Family Info Here?

The Clinton Co. IAGenWeb Boards are the perfect vehicle for researchers to share information in a convenient manner. This information will be available in a searchable format for years to come . We encourage those who visit the Clinton Co. Boards to not only search for information that might be useful to them , but to also "leave behind" a little of their own research so that other's might share in what each submitter has about their own ancestors. This can be done by entering Obit. info, Bible Records, etc. that may enable other researchers to "find you " through a trail you've left behind. Thanks!

Clinton Co. Biographies : Place only biographies associated with a Clinton Co. family on this board. Place only one biography per message. Place name of subject with date of birth and death if known in the subject section. Place all surnames associated with the Biography in the surname section. Enter one surname per line. Place the full text of the biography in the message section. Include your source. Post A Biography
 

Clinton Co. Documents : Any of the following documents may be placed on the Document Board.

Newspaper Clippings : These might include articles such as Births, Marriages, Wedding Anniversaries, etc. with a genealogical benefit. Place only Newspaper Clippings on this board associated with Clinton Co. Place only one Newspaper Clipping per message. Place principle name, location and date of Newspaper Clipping in the subject section. Place all surnames associated with the message in the surname section. Enter one surname per line.
