1.  JOHANNES⁸ WEINBECK  (SEBASTIAN⁷, JOSEF⁶, JOHANN JAKOB⁵, JOHANNES⁴, GEORG³, LAURENTIUS², CHRISTOF¹ WEIJWECKH) was born June 9, 1855 in Donaustauf, Bavaria, Germany, and died April 19, 1940 in Clinton, Clinton, Iowa.  He married ANNA DUHR February 9, 1884 in Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany, daughter of CLAUS DUHR and WIEBKE JANS.   The picture of Anna, to the left, was taken shortly before she came to Clinton County, about 1884.

Weinbeck family on Beaver Island.

 Uncle Clus (Claus) owned a rowboat and would take everybody over.  Since the women always fixed huge baskets of food, it took him numerous trips to get everyone and all the food over the slough and on the island.  This will be from left to right in two groups, first the standing adults and then the children.
