Dick
Tague, 73, Lytle, Texas, formerly of DeWitt, Iowa, died peacefully early
Friday morning, March 9, 2012 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown,
Iowa.
Dick Tague was born Richard Lawrence Tague, on Nov. 14, 1938, in Clinton,
Iowa, to James and Flora (Biggs) Tague. He was a graduate of St. Joseph
Catholic High School. Dick was a veteran and served in the United States
Navy. He worked for IBM Corporation in Chicago, Illinois.
Dick was dearly loved and enjoyed visiting regularly by phone with his
brother, Bob and sister, Mary Alice Seifert, as well as his many neices and
nephews. This he did from his home in Lytle on a regular basis. He also
pursued passionately for many years, his hobby of Genealogy. Dick was known
for his volunteer spirit, helping others around the world find lost members
of their family trees. He was also instrumental in uniting living family
members. Dick was a member and volunteer supporter of Iowa GenWeb, as well
as many other genealogical endeavors.
Dick leaves to mourn his loss, a brother, Robert (Marilyn) Tague of Cocoa
Beach, Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Dick in death were his parents, his sister, Mary Alice Seifert, an
infant sister, Agnes Kathleen and two brothers, Maurice and James Tague.
Family and friends may visit at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 3:00
until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012 with a vigil service at 5:00 p.m. The
Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 12,
2012 in St. Joseph Catholic Church of DeWitt with the Rev. Fr. Paul Connolly
presiding. Burial and military rites will follow in the Church Cemetery.
