History of Class of 1904
Nine years ago we boys and girls started up the ladder of learning. We were, of course, placed in the first grade, for we knew but little.
Time rolled on and on a rainy morning in September, we were sent to the Central Building and placed in the seventh grade.
However, we soon passed this grade and the next year, con temporary with the summer heat and June flowers, we were graduated from the grammar grade and received our diplomas, tied with lavender and white ribbons.
This year, (1901) we entered the High School. We were bashful and had very strange ways; but after a few of Miss WILSON's pleasant talks, we soon overcame these and are now digging out German and Latin constructions, and are working hard, that we may be able to reach that goal, which is but three years away.
