Poor Farm Cemetery Burials
Dodge Township
This cemetery is on private land that is still owned by the county. It's in very bad need of repair. At this time, only one marker survives, Lyle Harris; his stone is newer. There have been several reports of stones being found in the ravines that are in the area of the cemetery. Some of the names listed have a grave number, although no burial book or register of names has been found. It appears that burials at the Poor Farm Cemetery stopped in 1937. They then started burials at Mineral Ridge Cemetery in Dodge Township. GPS Coordinates: Latitude: 42.16636, Longitude: -93.87398 |
