Sorry to interupt in your dialog... I'm related to Martha Assersdatter, and in fact my mother has an old Bible that belonged to her father, Asser.
My great-great-great-grandfather Hans Vølstad Egeland, must be related to Martha Assersdatter somehow, since we got the old bible from the farm Skruds-Eikeland. Hans later changed his last name to Skaar) He sold the farm and moved nearer to the city Sandnes, and then he took the name Skaar (after the name of his new farm Skaret).
As a funny story to it all; my husband grew up at Skruds-eikeland, and his brother runs the farm today. (Actually the farm was divided into two farms when my husbands grandfather Anders Garvik/wife; Gudrun and his sister,Ranveig/husband; Jørgen got the farm as wedding present from their father.
