Harm S. Harringa, the son of John and Hattie Harringa, was born at Belmond, February 2, 1885. Soon after birth he was baptized into the name of the Triune God. In the year 1893, the Harringa family moved onto a farm north of Titonka. On March 24, 1909, Harm was married to Minnie Senne at Immanuel Lutheran Church. This union was blessed with 11 children, four sons and seven daughters. They are all living; however, his parents, four brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Mr. Harringa was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since his marriage. Since 1913 Harm Harringa and family lived on the farm one mile south of Immanuel. He enjoyed good health during his life, however, during the last years he failed in health. After a successful operation four weeks ago, he later had a relapse and passed into eternity at the Mercy Hospital in Mason City on Monday morning, February 29, 1960, at the age of 73 years and 27 days.
