Dale D. Widen, 61, Corwith, died of cancer Friday at Kossuth County Hospital, Algona. Services were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Corwith, with burial in the church cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Irene; daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Janice) Burkart, Riverside, CA; son, Tom, Corwith; three grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Stillman (Helen) Wickert, Corwith; Mrs. Joe (Florence) Grandgenett, Corwith; Mrs. Mary Kissenger, Santa Barbara, CA; Mrs. Howard (Donna) Settle, Cedar Falls; brothers, Gene, Vallejo, CA; and Ben, Owatonna, MN. Mr. Widen was born at Sauk Centre, MN and married Irene Grandgenett in St. Benedict in 1941. They farmed in the Corwith area most of their married life.
