April 14, 1846 -- January 3, 1933

Word has been-received of the death of Mrs. John Tiss, 87, January 3, at her home in Corwith, Iowa. She was a sister of the late Peter Shinbourn and of the late Mrs. Joseph A. Henry of this village. Mrs. Tiss whose maiden name was Katherine Shinbourn was married to John Tiss February 20, 1868 in this village and resided here for ten years and then the family removed to Corwith, Ia. where they have resided the past fifty years. They had five sons and six daughters.
