BERTHA NALL, 91, LAID TO REST IN CORWITH CEMETERY, SEPT. 3

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 3rd [1975] for Mrs. Walter (Bertha) Nall, 91, at the United Methodist Church in Corwith, Iowa. Rev. Herbert Shaffer delivered the message to family and friends. Mrs. David Nall was the vocalist and was accompanied by Mrs. Donald Hansmeier. Casket bearers were Raymond Frey, R. C. Welter, Terry Long, Charles Claude, Earl Gjerstad, and Charles Sorensen. Interment was made in the Corwith Cemetery with the Blake Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Bertha Lovia Loise was born August 7, 1884 to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carl Leonard Marth in Wisconsin. On December 25, 1907, she was married to Walter Nall, the wedding took place at Stilson. The couple farmed for many years on a farm south of Corwith known as the Hammel farm. Blessing the home were four sons, Clarence, Kenneth, Cecil and Edward. After retiring from the farm, the family moved to Corwith, where for many years he operated a livestock and trucking business. Mrs. Nall was a member of the United Methodist Church, Corwith.

Mrs. Nall passed away Saturday morning, August 30th at the West View Nursing Home, Britt, Iowa, where she had been a resident for the past several years. Mr. Nall passed away December 29, 1963.

Surviving Mrs. Nall is one son, Edward of Denver, Colorado, several nieces and nephews, twelve grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren. Preceding her in death besides her parents, were three sons, Kenneth, Clarence, and Cecil, her husband and two brothers.
