Clare P. Adson, 82, of Fort Dodge, died Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Sersland officiating. Interment will be held in the Newark Township Cemetery, Vincent, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home.

Clare was born July 22, 1928 the son of Clarence and Eleah Adson in Vincent, Iowa. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1946. In 1967 Clare was united in marriage to Adeline Kushel. She passed away in 1996. Following high school Clare worked on a local farm. In 1951 he enlisted in the United States Army serving his country during the Korean War. He later worked at Mead Containers in Fort Dodge from 1964 until the plant closed in 1984 at that time he began working at Cenex Land O Lakes retiring in 1997. Clare was a member of the St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Mr. Adson was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Adeline and a sister, Irma Stueland.
