KLEMME — Arselene Mildred (Penning) Haack, 67, died Friday (Sept. 18, 1998) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Tenold Funeral Chapel, Klemme. Interment will take place in Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral chapel and will continue Monday morning prior to the funeral service. Arselene Mildred (Penning) Haack, the daughter of John and Effie (Hugo) Penning, was born Feb. 25, 1931, at Buffalo Center. She was united in marriage to Ewald Haack on June 5, 1950, at Albert Lea, Minn. To this union two children were born, Evelyn Marie and Robert Dean. Arselene liked working with her flowers and garden, as well as going fishing and watching and feeding the birds and animals. She is survived by her husband, Ewald, Klemme; a daughter, Evelyn Marie Chapin and her husband, Dean, Cambridge, N.Y.; a son, Robert Dean Haack, Waterloo; grandchildren, Debbie Lee Chapin and Stephanie Dawn Chapin; sisters, Adeline Studer and her husband, Lee, Elkhart, and Barbara Wolford and her husband, Donald, Hampton; and brothers, Harold Penning and his wife, Betty, St. Benedict, and Larry Penning and his wife, Carol, Garner. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
