Mrs. Donald Estle Died on June 1st

Friends of Donald Estle of Mason City, former resident of Goodell, learned last week of the death of his wife, who passed away very suddenly a week ago Sunday evening following a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Estle had gone to Clear Lake to visit acquaintances and as they were walking up to the friends' home Mrs. Estle suffered the fatal stroke. On Memorial Day, the Estles had called in Goodell and visited the graves of departed members of Donald's family at Amsterdam cemetery, afterward enjoying dinner with Lula Wilkins.

Virginia Deach was born on Aug. 20, 1912, at Nora Springs. She is survived by her husband, three sons — John Leo, James Roland, Robert Eugene; four daughters—Barbara Joan, Susan Kay, Virginia Irene, and Kathryn Ruth, the latter only four months old; also her mother, Mrs. Nellie Deach of Mason City. She was preceded in death by a daughter, her father and a brother.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2:00 p. m. at the Patterson-James chapel with Dr. Paul Peterson, pastor of Wesley Methodist church, officiating. Many relatives accompanied the funeral cortege to Amsterdam cemetery in Goodell, where they were met by many local friends for the committal services. Donald lived in Goodell many years and has a host of friends who extend sympathy to him in his great sorrow.
