KANAWHA, IA -- Floyd H. Carlson, 64, of Lone Rock, died Thursday (Oct. 31, 1996) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Kanawha, with the Rev. Matthew Miller officiating. Burial will be in Amsterdam Township Cemetery, Kanawha. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ewing-Dugger Funeral Home, Kanawha, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Floyd H. Carlson was born Oct. 28, 1932, in Hancock County. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Carlson, of Lone Rock; three daughters, Rhonda Nemmers of Bancroft; Donna Kayser of Henderson, Minn., and Terri Russell of Estherville; one son, Mike Carlson of Cleveland, Minn.; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Marie Minor of Clarion; Margaret Anderson of Kanawha, and Mildred Anderson of North Platte, Neb.; and three brothers, Thomas Carlson and Harold Carlson, both of Kanawha, and Donald Carlson of Watertown, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
