KANAWHA, IA -- Ronald L. Loeffler, 57, of Kanawha, died Thursday (May 23, 1996) at Hancock Memorial Hospital, Britt. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Kanawha Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Lee officiating. Committal will be in Amsterdam Cemetery, Kanawha. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Ewing Funeral Home, Kanawha.

Ronald L. Loeffler was born Feb. 15, 1939, in Kanawha. Survivors include his mother, Iliah Sorensen of Kanawha; two daughters, Lynnette and Rhona; one stepdaughter, Teri; two sons, Shannon and Aaron; two stepsons, Wayne and Kent; one sister, Pam Weiss of Kanawha; and six step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, wife, one brother and one stepdaughter.

Ronald Lee Loeffler, 57, passed away Thursday, May 23, 1996, at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, Iowa.

Ronald was born February 15, 1939, in Kanawha, Iowa, the son of Fred and Iliah Maddick Loeffler, Jr. He was baptized in the Lutheran Church in Renwick, Iowa, and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Belmond, Iowa. He attended schools in Belmond. Ronald worked for Dorr Construction before moving to Rock Island, Illinois, where he worked at a body shop for many years. He then lived in Marshall, Texas, for several years before returning to Kanawha in 1996. Ronald liked to cook, fish, hunt and golf.

Ronald is survived by his mother, Iliah Sorenson, two daughters, Lynnette and Rhona, one step-daughter, Teri; two sons, Shannon and Arron, and two step-sons, Wayne and Kent; one sister, Pam and her husband, Jim Weiss of Kanawha, IA; and six step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Jackie in 1957, his wife, Marge and one step-daughter, Dawn.
