Kanawha, Iowa--Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at the Kanawha Methodist church for Frederick F. Prelip. The Rev. J.F. Moore, officiated. Frederick F. Prelip, son of Frederick and Louise Prelip, was born May 8, 1885, at Fort Dodge. He died at his home in Kanawha on July 5, at the age of 62 years, 1 month and 27 days. As a boy he came with his parents to Hancock county where he spent the most of his life, engaging in farming. In 1944, because of failing health, he retired from the farm and moved to his present home in Kanawha. On January 18, 1909 he was united in marriage with Mary Sobek at Plankinton, S.D. To this union two children were born. Frederick Prelip was a member of the Kanawha Methodist church and of the Kanawha Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He helped to organize the Kanawha Co-operative Oil company and has served continuously on its board of directors. He is survived by his wife Mary, one daughter, Leta (Mrs. John Goodridge) and one son Carl all of Kanawha; two sisters, Martha (Mrs. Otto Kemp) of Ft. Dodge and Clara (Mrs. Frank Kemp) of Goodell; two brothers, Frank of Kanawha and Art of Ft. Dodge; two grandchildren, Myra Lee Goodridge and Richard Prelip. Interment was made in the Kanawha cemetery.
