G. Thalia Fairbanks, 94, of Eagle Grove, died at the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove on January 13, 1997. Private family graveside services will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion on Friday, Jan. 17 with the Rev. Edgar L. James officiating.

Gertrude Thalia Fisher was born January 27, 1902, to William C. and Ida (Cole) Fisher at Eagle Grove. She attended schools and graduated from Eagle Grove. She was united in marriage to Mack Fairbanks on May 4, 1922 in Eagle Grove. She resided in the state of Washington until she came to Iowa to make her home with her sister. She was employed as a secretary for a law firm in Fort Dodge for several years.

She is survived by her sister Raye Godfrey; nieces, Janis Harlan and Rachel Christensen; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Mack Fairbanks; sons Dr. Jerry Fairbanks and Mack C. Fairbanks, and one grandchild.
