Korslund, Veteran WW II, beloved husband of Merna, nee Freis; loving father of Cheryl (William) Wittenberg and Randall; dear grandfather of Kelly (Victor) Hillhouse in Texas, Patricia Horn, Sharon (Michael) Oomens and Cherisse Korslund; great-grandfather of nine. Memorial services Monday 1 p.m. at Casey Laskowski & Sons Funeral Home. Interment private.

Notice has been received of the death of Gerald Korslund, Chicago, Ill., formerly of rural Thor. He died November 26, 1996, in Chicago. He is the son of the late Herbert and Stella Korslund, He graduated from Goldfield High School.

He is survived by his wife, Merna, Chicago; children Cheryl and Randy; and grandchildren. He is a cousin of Allen Korslund, Eagle Grove.
