Martha Olive Hildahl Probst
15 April 1878 --- 22 September 1906

Died at her home In Galt, September 21st, Mrs. John Probst.
By her death the dread "white plague" claims one more victim. Martha Olive Hildahl was born at Calamus, Clinton county, April 15th, 1878. She moved with her parents to Humboldt county in 1800, and was married to John Probst, a friend of her childhood days, March 23d, 1904. The funeral was held Saturday, Sept. 22d, in the Congregational church, conducted by Rev. Fisk, after which the remains were taken to Humboldt county, her former home, and tenderly laid to rest beside her mother and sister at Thor. By the death of Mrs. Probst, the community loses a good citizen, the husband a tender, devoted companion and the little daughter a loving mother. The tenderest sympathy of all is extended to those who were nearest and dearest to the deceased.

John Probst and little daughter left Saturday for Grand Meadow, Minn. Mr. Probst will return here after a week's visit with his parents, brother and sisters. His little daughter will make her home permanently with her grandparents.
