Funeral services for Miss Ruth Shea, 68, will be this (Saturday) morning in Sacred Heart Church at 10 o'clock. Rev. Norman White will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Miss Shea died Wednesday morning in Trinity Hospital, Fort Dodge, following a long illness. She had been a resident of the Rotary Ann Home since 1974.

Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom Shea, Miss Shea is survived by two brothers: Tom of Zephyr, Nev.; Leo of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters: Miss JoAnn Shea of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Ralph Strohecker of Waterloo.

Miss Shea had been employed in several Eagle Grove restaurants in years gone by, but her favorite work was baby-sitting and she had taken care of many children in the community, and also their children in later years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Veronica.

Ruth Catherine Shea, the daughter of Thomas and Jane Marshall Shea, was born September 23, 1909.

She attended the Sacred Heart School in Eagle Grove. She was a restaurant employee and housekeeper. She had been a resident at the Rotary Ann Home since September of 1974.

Ruth died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1978 at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge at the age of 68 years, four months and eight days.

Survivors include two brothers, Thomas Shea, Zephyr Cave, Nev. and Leo Shea, Los Angeles, Calif.; and two sisters, Mary (Mrs. Ralph) Strohecker, Waterloo, Ia.; JoAnn Shea, Washington, D.C. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and a sister, Veronica.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, and of Catholic Daughters of America.

A prayer service was held Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. at the Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral. Home. Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Eagle Grove. Father Norman White officiated and burial was in the Calvary Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
