Rose M. Keppers Schumacher
May 19, 1885 — July 27, 1968

Mrs. John Schumacher, 83, died Saturday morning at the Clarion Hospital where she had been a patient for several days. She had been in failing health for some time, and of late she and her husband have resided at the Rotary Ann Home since last November.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:30 at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. J. J. Brickley officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters. Mrs. M. Segar, Redland, Calif.; Mrs. Charles Knight, Webster City; Miss Joanne Schumacher, Redland, Calif., 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Rose Keppers was born in Dayton Township and attended rural schools. In 1913 she married John Schumacher in Clarion. They were the first couple married in St. John's Church there. They farmed near Eagle Grove from that time until 1948 when they moved into town.
