Charles Peter Schumacher
January 29, 1916 — September 6, 1964

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 9:30 in Sacred Heart Church for Charles Schumacher, 48, who died Sunday in the Clarion Memorial hospital. Rev. Francis Phelan presided at the requiem mass and interment was in Calvary Cemetery. He had been ill for the past six years and spent much time in hospitals.

Mr. Schumacher is survived by his wife, three children, Russell, Sharon and Mary all at the home with their mother on the farm east of Eagle Grove, his parents Mr. and Mrs. John Schumacher of this city and three sisters, Agnes Segar and Joan Schumacher of Redlands, Calif. and Esther Knight of Webster City.

Mr. Schumacher was a life long resident of Wright County, and had farmed east of Eagle Grove until his health began to fail, but he and his family continued to make their home on the farm.

Charles Peter Schumacher, 48 of Clarion, died at the Clarion Memorial hospital Sunday morning, Sept 6.

He was born January 29, 1916 on a farm south of Clarion in Dayton township, son of John and Rose Keppers Schumacher. He grew to manhood in the same place and farmed until he became ill and was unable to continue.

He was united in marriage on Nov. 7, 1942 to Miss Margaret Boston in Webster City. To this union was born one son, Russell, and two daughters, Sharon and Mary. He is survived by his wife, the son and daughters, his parents Mr. and Mrs. John Schumacher of Eagle Grove, three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Esther) Knight of Webster City, Mrs. Harold (Agnes) Segar and Joann Schumacher both of Redlands, California.

Funeral services were held Sept. 9 at 9:30, in Sacred Heart Catholic church of Eagle Grove with Rev. Francis Phelan officiating. Burial was in Calvary cemetery in Eagle Grove. Pall bearers were his cousins, Raymond Reiland, Donald Rohrer, Roger Keppers and Randall Schumacher, Clarion, Clarence Anderson, Webster City and Donald Adams, Mapleton Minn.
