James Joseph Rogness
February 16, 1935 — March 22, 1944

Funeral services were held at Sacred Heart Church Saturday morning at nine o'clock for James Joseph Rogness, 9, son of Mr and Mrs. Levi Rogness. of Thor. Rev J. L. Byrne had charge of the services, and burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Jimmie, as he was known to his many Eagle Grove friends, was born here Feb. 16th, 1935 and died Wednesday night, March 22, at the home of his parents after a ten-day illness. Death was the result of meningitis following scarlet fever.

He is survived by his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Levi Rogness and one sister, Pauline Anne of Thor also his grandfather and aunt, A. J. Kubltschek and Miss Pauline Kubitschek of this city, and other relatives.

Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were T. N. Rogness, Arthur and Margrete of Thor, Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Rogness, Marie Martin, Lester, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Olson of Forest City, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mitchell of Omaha, Neb. and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Kubitschek of Des Moines.

James Joseph Rogness was born on February 16, 1935, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, and died on March 22, 1944 at Thor. The cause of his death was meningitis, following scarlet fever, being ill for 10 days.

Funeral services were held at the Sacred Heart church in Eagle Grove on Saturday, March 25. Interment was made in the Calvary cemetery there. He leaves to mourn his passing, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Rogness, one sister, Pauline Anne, and a host of friends.
