Charles Nicholas Sadler
August 16, 1897 — September 18, 1971

Charles Sadler, 74, died Sunday at his home, 312 South Park Ave. following a long illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. Edward Lechtenberg officiating at the mass. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Sadler is survived by his wife, one son Merle of Boone, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Other survivors are, six brothers, Matt and Frank Sadler of Eagle Grove; Peter of Renwick, and Lawrence, Leo and Nick all of Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Charles Sadler was born to parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sadler, Aug. 16, 1897 in Woolstock. He was married to Gladys Tesdahl of Eagle Grove on Feb. 6, 1922 in Eagle Grove. They made their home here since that time and in 1917 Mr. Sadler began working on the section for the Chicago, Great Western Rail Road, and retired in 1950.
