Kenneth Carlyle Comstock
16 April 1902 ---- 8 June 1988

Kenneth Carlyle Comstock was born on April 16, 1902, at Eagle Grove, Iowa, the son of Royal and Nora Baker Comstock. He attended Eagle Grove schools and graduated with the class of 1919. After working at various jobs in the Eagle Grove area, he moved to Omaha, Nebraska, in 1936. He was united in marriage to Bernice Saire of Omaha, in 1941, at Omaha. Kenneth was a self-employed businessman for 40 years, before retiring in 1966. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League, and Ducks Unlimited.

Many years ago, he was instrumental in assisting A. B. Parsons in getting the wrestling program started in Eagle Grove. Kenneth was very much involved in athletics in Eagle Grove, having participated in wrestling and baseball, and other activities.

Mrs. Comstock died in 1985, and Kenneth moved back to Eagle Grove to make his home at the Rotary Ann Home on April 1, 1986. Kenneth had been in failing health for some time, and died at the Rotary Ann
Home on June 8, 1988, at the age of 86 years, 1 month, and 22 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Winfield; and step-son, William Lane. He is survived by his brother, John, Spirit Lake , Iowa; four step grandchildren; nephew, Robert Comstock, Eagle Grove; and nieces, Miriam (Mrs. Arden) Thompson, Eagle Grove, and Phyllis (Mrs. Richard) Kist, Clinton, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 1988. The Rev. Victor V. Victoria, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church, Goldfield, Iowa, officiated, with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa.
