BEVERLY (STEARNS) O'DONNELL
Beverly Kay Stearns was born Dec. 24, 1953, at Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Marlys Green Stearns. She attended school at Plover, Gilmore City and graduated from Goldfield High School with the class of 1973. She continued her education at Iowa Central Community College, Fort Dodge; Creston Community College and graduated from Coffeyville, Kans. Junior College as a Lab Technician. Beverly worked at Topeka, Kansas; Humboldt, Pocahontas, Webster City and Clarinda Hospitals before moving to Goldfield to make her home. She was united in marriage to Dennis O'Donnell of Rolfe, on Oct. 15, 1977, at the Rolfe Methodist Church and had resided in Goldfield since June 1, 1983.

Beverly died at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, after a short illness, on Monday, August 13, 1984 at the age of 30 years, seven months and 19 days. She is survived by her husband, Dennis, and three children: son, Gary James; daughters, Vanessa Mae and Elizabeth Dianne, all at home; her parents, Paul Stearns, Goldfield and mother, Marlys, of Tegucigalpa, Honduras; brothers Paul Bennett Jr. of Rose Hill, Kans., James Anthony of Austin, Texas; sisters: Mary Lou (Mrs. Jerry) Bussey of Waterloo; Sandra Jo Stearns of Cedar Falls, Sharon Lee (Mrs. George) Hopper of Spencer, Okla.; Christine Gail (Mrs. Robert) Berquist of Eagle Grove; and Sally Ann Stearns of Goldfield. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 1984 at the United Methodist Church in Goldfield. Rev. Kenneth Peterson officiated and burial was in the Clinton Garfield Cemetery in Rolfe.
