BARBARA JEAN HANSEN
Barbara Jean Pohlman was born May 13, 1937 at Eagle Grove, the daughter of Clyde and Mary (Labus) Pohlman. She attended the Eagle Grove Community school and attended Iowa Central Community College nursing assistant program at Humboldt. Barbara was united in marriage to Richard Hansen of Goldfield September 1, 1956 at Goldfield. The couple farmed southwest of Goldfield, before their divorce in 1978.

Barbara Jean Hansen, Goldfield, died of an apparent heart attack at her home Wednesday, August 26, 1987, at the age of 50. She had been in ill health for the past two years.

She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Margaret Ford; brother-in-law, Ted Ford; an infant son, Robert Scott; and two nephews, Rick Pohlman and Duane Andrews. She is survived by her mother, Mary Labus Pohlman, Eagle Grove; two daughters, Mrs. Alan (Kim) McCollough, Goldfield, and Jody Hansen of Williamsville, N.Y.; one brother, Gary Pohlman, Eagle Grove; two sisters, Mrs.. Gerald .(Sandra) Andrews, Eagle Grove; Mrs. Dwain (Patricia) Callies, Clearfield and grandchildren, Mindy and Taylor McCollough.

Funeral services were held at the United Presbyterian Church on Saturday August 29, 1987 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Victor V. Victoria officiated and burial was held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
