Mrs. Robt. Pollock, 86, a pioneer Wright county resident, passed away on Wednesday evening at her farm home four miles northeast of here. She had been in poor health for some time and for the past ten months had been under a nurse's care.

Funeral services were held at the United Presbyterian church Sunday in charge of Rev. John Haupt, assisted by Rev. T. S. Bassett. Burial was made in the family lot at Glenwood cemetery.

Obituary

Janet Armstrong, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong was born January 4, 1851 at Bradford, Oxford county, Ontario, Canada. As a young woman she came with relatives to Traer, where she was united in marriage on February 13, 1878 to Robert Pollock.

Six children were born to this union. One child died in infancy. Another daughter, Annie Davidson, passed away in early childhood.

Mrs. Pollock was baptized in infancy. She and her husband united with the Tranquility church near Traer where they were faithful members. After moving to Wright county, 55 years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Pollock became charter members of the Goldfield United Presbyterian church.

Surviving Mrs. Pollock are her husband and four children: John, Austin, Minn.; Mrs. Roy Marlin, Hartland, Minn.; Robt., of Albert Lea, Minn.; and James of Goldfield. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; two sisters and one brother: Mrs. Elizabeth Waldie of Manitoba, Canada; Mrs. F. D. Gordon of Marysville, Calif.; James Armstrong of Bright, Ontario, Canada.
