Claus Riber Gord, 51, of Thor, died suddenly Tuesday morning in Thor and funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Kastler Funeral Home. Services at 2 o'clock, will be conducted by Rev. Kenneth R. Torvik, and burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery. Casket bearers will be Edward A. Severson, Kenneth Severson, Hiram Berkland, Lloyd Larson, Donald Ross and Ronald Kunert.
Mr. Gord was born near Haugesund, Norway, and came to the United States in 1922. He worked on various farms in the Thor area and had helped his brother Carl who was injured in a fall in 1950.
Surviving are three brothers and three sisters in Norway; and two brothers, Jacob of Eagle Grove and Carl of Thor.
