Miller C. Nelson, 45, of 312; S. Cleveland Ave., Colonial Heights, died yesterday in the Delaware Hospital.

A chemical engineer for the Du Pont Co. for the past 18 years, Mr. Nelson was active in local bowling circles. He was a member of the American Chemical Society and an elder and former trustee of the Elsmere Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Theresa McCorkle Nelson; three daughters, Mrs. Joan N. Bowers of Edge Moor and the Misses Ellen and Susan Nelson at home. two sons. William J. and J. Craig Nelson, also at home; one brother, Craig Nelson of Goldfield, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. Robert Hartwell of Port Credit, Canada.

Services will be held Monday morning at 11 in the Elsmere Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the building fund of the church. Friends may call at the Griffith Mortuary 1400 New Road, Elsmere, Sunday after 7 p.m.

Miller C. Nelson, age 45, of Wilmington, Delaware died Thursday afternoon, Jan. 30 from a heart attack. His death was unexpected as he had entered a hospital that morning.

Miller Nelson was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Miller S. Nelson of the Evergreen Community. He was born Oct. 27, 1918. He attended the Evergreen school, Goldfield High School, Eagle Grove Junior College. He was a graduate of Iowa State University. For the past 18 years he has been a chemist at Du Pont in Wilmington. He was an elder in the Elsmere Presbyterian Church and a member of the choir,

He is survived by his wife, Theresa, three daughters, Joan Bowers, Elaine and Susan, two sons William and Craig. Also, a sister, Alice Hartwell of Port Credit, Ontario, Canada and a brother Craig of Goldfield.

Funeral services were held Monday in Wilmington, Delaware. –Goldfield Chronicle.
