Lillian B. Williams was born September 26, 1909, to Otto and Pearl Rickner Williams at Clarion, Iowa. She graduated from Clarion High School in 1927. She was united in marriage to Sander Schnell in 1928. They lived in Goldfield until she entered the Clarion Health Care Center in 1990.

She was a homemaker and a cook at the Goldfield Community School. She was a member of the United
Presbyterian Church in Goldfield and the Legion Auxiliary in Goldfield.

Lillian B. Schnell died Saturday, October 18, 1997, at the Clarion Health Care Center in Clarion, at the age of 88.

Survivors include four daughters, Betty Shirley and her husband, Richard, of Perry, Dorothy Reichter, and her husband, Beryl, of Goldfield, Edna Stoll, and her husband, Dennis, of Eagle Grove, and Margery Trask of Ankeny; one son, Roger Schnell of Wapello; 20 grandchildren; 31 greatgrandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph Williams of Carlsbad, N. M. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother; one sister; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 21, 1997, at 11 a.m., at the United Presbyterian Church in Goldfield with the Reverend Ellen G. Brantley officiating. Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield. Willim Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, was in charge of arrangements.
