October 29, 1950 ---- May 30, 2005

Larry T. Throntveit, 54, of Webster City, died Monday, May 30, 2005, at the Brushy Creek Recreational Area. The cause of death is pending an investigation by Webster County Medical Examiner Dr. Dai Cole.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 2, 2005, at 4 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Chapel with the Rev, John Grebner officiating.

Larry Thomas Thronrveit was born October 29, 1950 in Forest City, the son of Thomas and Helen Halverson Throntveit. The family moved to Webster City in 1952. He received his education in the Eagle Grove school system, graduating in 1969. On September 13, 1969, he married Pam Hanson in Webster City. The couple lived in Webster City. He was employed at White Consolidated, then Electrolux as a foreman for 10 years. They were divorced in 1992. On December 20, 1993, he married Karen Brannick Hanus at Boone. He was employed at Tasler's for the past seven years. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City.

Larry's love for family, riding horses, camping, going on trips with his wife, rodeos, riding his motorcycle, playing cards, working with bricks and playing with his grandchildren. He will be greatly and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Alberto Enriquez; Sherri and Ronnie Griffin, and Treasa Shivers, all of Eagle Grove; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Angie Hanus, of Woolstock: daughters, Rhonda and Becky Hanus, both of Webster City; 15 grandchildren; his mother, Helen Throntveit, of Webster City; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Carol Throntveit, of Worland, Wyo.; and Michael and Chris Throntveit, of Eagle Grove, sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Vernon Brown, of Promise City; and Jody King, of Stratford; several nieces and nephews, several aunts and uncles, and a father-in-law, Bob Kolthoff, of Blairsburg. He was preceded in death by his father, mother-in-law, Stella Kolthoff and his grandparents. The Foster Funeral Home in Webster City was in charge of the arrangements.
