Wilma June Adams Hanson
27 November 1934 --- 24 January 1986

Wilma June Hanson, the daughter of Percy and Dorothy Caldwell Adams, was born at Webster City, Iowa on November 27, 1934. She received her education in Webster City and Wrenshall, Minn. Later she worked in Fort Dodge for a short time. She was united in marriage with Merrill Hanson, Sr. on July 2, 1955 at Fort Dodge, Iowa. The couple lived in California and Florida and in 1968, moved to Eagle Grove, where the family lives. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove.

She died Friday afternoon, Jan. 24, 1986, at the Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge at the age of 51 years and two months.

She is survived by her husband, Merrill Hanson, Sr. of Eagle Grove; a daughter, Linda Hanson of Eagle Grove; three sons, Merrill Hanson, Jr. of Eagle Grove, Murray Dean Hanson of Webster City, Mark Allen Hanson of Fort Dodge; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Edith Frank of Cloquet, Minn., Mrs. Ruth Carlson of Phoenix, Ariz., Josephine, Mrs. Henry Dluleki of Deming, N.M., Patricia, Mrs. Joe Misiak of Cloquet, Minn.; a brother, Jack Adams of Cloquet, Minn.; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Irma Carlson; three brothers, James, Walter and Richard Adams; and a grandchild.

Funeral services for Mrs. Merrill (Wilma) Hanson, 51, of Eagle Grove, were held Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1986 at 1:30 p.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Rev. Paul Schaedig, pastor of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was in the East Ullensvang Cemetery at Thor. Visitation was held on Monday at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home.
