Cedar Falls – Eugene R. Anderson, 66, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Aug. 3, at home of cancer.

He was born June 23, 1932, in Iowa City, the son of Lena J. Anderson. He married Martha C. Applegate on June 23, 1956, in Attica.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He owned and operated Certified Electric of Iowa.

Survived by: his wife; three sons, Steven R. of Champagne, III., James C. of Clive and John E. of Fort Morgan, Colo.; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren; and his mother, Lena Mathis of Waterloo. Preceded in death by: a stepbrother.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Indiana Chapel Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials: may be directed to the church or to Cedar Valley Hospice.
