GOLDIE F. LARSON
Florence Goldie Foster was born on November 29, 1911, the daughter of George and Nora Boone Foster at Mason City, Iowa. She received her education in the Mason City School System. She was united in marriage to Clarence "Shorty" Larson on September 22, 1927. The couple moved to Eagle Grove in the mid 1930's. She was employed as a laundress for the Eagle Grove School System for over 21 years. Her husband died on December 10, 1966. She continued living in the family home until recently entering the Rotary Ann Retirement Home, Eagle Grove. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove and was active within the church circle.

Florence Goldie Larson died at the Rotary Ann Retirement Home, Eagle Grove, on December 10, 1995. She had attained the age of 84 years and 11 days.

Survivors include her children, Pauline Kramer and husband, Gerald, of La Verne, Darlene Mabe of Phoenix, Ariz., John Larson of Fort Dodge, Glenn Larson and wife, Faith of Rapid City, S. D., Shirley Ferguson and husband, Dwight, of Fort Dodge, and Cindy Myers of Cedar Falls; 33 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Bahr and husband, Bob, of Mancos, Colo., and Violet Rhoades and husband, Francis, of Forestberg, S. D.; and also surviving is son-in-law, Russell McCollough of Webster City. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one child, Betty McCollough; two grandchildren; three brothers, Fred, Pete, and Lester; and son-in-law, Norm Mabe.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 14, 1995, at the First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove. The Reverend David J. Miller officiated the 10:30 a.m. services. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield, Iowa. Willim Funeral Home, Ltd., Eagle Grove, was in charge of arrangements.
