Gale Stearns Is Fatally Injured In Truck Accident
Funeral services for Gale Rollo Stearns, 32, of Redding, California were held here Monday afternoon at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral home with the Rev. Bernard Olson in charge. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Gale, a former Eagle Grove resident, was killed in a traffic accident Dec. 7th between Redding and Round Mountain, California when the pick-up truck he was driving left the road. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rollo Stearns, former Eagle Grove residents accompanied the body of their son here and will remain until after the holidays.

Obituary
Gale Rollo Stearns was born December 6, 1934 at Rutland, Iowa to Cora and Rollo Stearns. He attended elementary school in Rutland and in 1948 the family moved to Eagle Grove. He attended Eagle Grove High School graduating with the class of 1952. While in high school he participated in wrestling and was well known as "Specks" to his classmates. Gale served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. After receiving his discharge from the Army, he continued to live in California and had resided there since.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rollo Stearns of Redding, California, 2 brothers, Gary of Webster City and Gregg of Eagle Grove; 2 sisters, Mrs. Gene Ter Hark of Clarion and Mrs. Marvin Johnson, Jr. of Eagle Grove; seven nieces and 1 nephew.

Funeral Services for Gale Stearns

Funeral services for Gale Rollo Stearns, 32, were held at 2 p. m. Monday at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home. The Rev. Bernard Olson of the Methodist Church officiated. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Stearns, a former resident of Eagle Grove, was killed in a car accident Wednesday at Redding, Calif. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rollo Stearns, Redding; two brothers and two sisters, Gary, Webster City; Greg and Mrs. Marvin Johnson, both of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Gene Ter Hark, Clarion. Born at Rutland, Mr. Stearns graduated from Eagle Grove High School. From 1956-5S he served in the Armed Forces. He moved to California six years ago. He was employed as a construction company trucker.
